Charity Giving

Support a sibling

Fundraiser by Megan Magee : Making memories with Alana (

Hi my name is Megan and my partners name is John we are the parents of 3 beautiful children. Our oldest Alana was born with a rare genetic condition called Börjeson-Forssman-Lehman Syndrome This condition has affected a lot of Alana’s organs, for the first 2 years of her life we were always in hospital. She started with seizures when she was 6 weeks old, and completely lost her sight. Thankfully her brain made new connections and now she can see. Alana has a brain malformation that affects her breathing especially at night. Alana has a nippy 4+ vent that she need to be on every night. We currently have carers 5 nights a week to make sure that she’s not sick in the mask etc. I found a charity that said from the age of 7 we could apply for a dream holiday of going to Florida, we were told last year that they don’t expect Alana to see her 20s, which absolutely devastated us as a family. she will be 7 in march but unfortunately the charity has gone bust so I’m here to ask people to please help me to be able to take her on this dream trip and make some memories with her and her siblings like she deserves. Alana is the most precious happy little girl and she deserves all the world and more. I would appreciate any help I can get and sharing this would help. I’m going to save every single penny I can but am worried about her health deteriorating, Alana was in intensive care for 6 weeks a few years ago -and this made us realise how precious are time is with her. I’ve never asked for help before, but I’m swallowing my pride in the hope that we can make this dream a reality.. thanks for taking the time to read this

Eating out this half term

From me to you hearts

Lilly had a sewing machine for Christmas and is starting to learn this wonderful skill of machine sewing.

As a challenge we have decided to support the hearts donations which issues hearts to children in hospital to spread a little love.

Lilly is hoping to sew at least 106 hearts to represent the number of children that we have in school. If you would like to support Lilly with this challenge please request a heart template via the Kingfisher website.

We are looking for a parent or grandparent who is happy to sew up the final hole to ensure all the stuffing does not come out.

The hearts need to be made in matching pairs as the idea is that the child in hospital has one heart and the parent takes the other heart.

If you can help to provide stuffing or fabric please send into school for the attention of Lilly.

Lilly is promoting the school values of love and teamwork.

Shoebox Appeal - Christmas 2020

This year we will again be supporting the 'Love in a Box' Christmas Shoebox Appeal which is a nationwide appeal to provide Christmas gifts to vulnerable children and families in Romania.

It is over 25 years since the origination of the idea of the ‘Christmas Shoebox’, where families in the UK are asked to fill shoeboxes with stocking fillers for Romanian orphans.

Please be a part of this ongoing story that is continuing to impact and change lives by donating a shoebox to this year’s appeal!

For more information on how to do this, please see the information below. If you would like a printed copy of the information, please contact school and we will gladly provide this for you.

We will be asking for shoeboxes to be bought into school early w/c 2nd November and will confirm the exact date as soon as we know when they will be collected. Please do not bring shoeboxes into school until we advise on the collection date as we do not have the storage room for these.

Many Thanks!
