Summer 1 Overview - Take a look at what's going off this term!
Year 6 Spag - Have a go at SPaG questions.
Science (forces)
Children carried out an investigation to find out which shoes have grip and which do not. They used newton metres to measure the friction and recorded their results.
Art
For their fashion design project, the children created three unique outfits, each thoughtfully crafted for a special occasion. They explored different styles, colours, and fabrics, ensuring that every design reflected both creativity and purpose. From elegant evening wear to playful party attire, their work showcased not only their artistic flair but also their growing understanding of how clothing can express mood, personality, and celebration.
R.E.
After watching a video retelling the Bible’s creation story, the children were inspired to express their understanding through art. Each child created a drawing that reflected their personal interpretation of how the world was made, capturing key moments from the story in their own unique style. The activity encouraged them to think creatively, connect with the narrative, and share their ideas visually.
English
The children have been working hard to create non-chronological reports on renewable energy, exploring topics such as wind power, biomass, and solar power. Their writing showcases not only their understanding of how these energy sources work, but also their awareness of the importance of sustainable solutions for the future.
