Kingfishers

Welcome to Kingfisher Class

PE Wow Week

Art Wow Week

We have been designing mehndi patterns and rangoli patterns for our Indian art session.

Multi-sports

We attended  a multi-sport festival at Rutland Sports Park.

There were 8 different activities to try out, these included: football, netball, rugby, volleyball, cricket, tennis, throwing and Frisbee. We were taught new skills and took part in different activities for each event.

We are proud of the achievements of our children out of school.

The Viking's are coming!

Fantastic teamwork was shown as the children turned an A4 black and white drawing into a 75cm by 125cm colourful picture.

Letter from our MP

We wrote to Pauline Latham (Mid Derbyshire MP) to tell her about our work on Plastic Pollution. This is her response.

TRIBE,

Bush craft Day.

Kingfisher Class had a fantastic day in the woods learning about fire making, den building, problem solving and teamwork.

Ella saves the day!

We are very proud of Ella, who stepped into the nets, taking on the role of goalkeeper, in her football match this weekend. Without her, the team wouldn't have been able to play.

She not only saved the day, but also saved the goals, meaning her team won the match!

Well done Ella!

A place for plastic - our wonderful display and a lunchbox trawl!

Lunchbox trawl

We noted how much plastic is thrown away daily from our lunchboxes; it was a lot!

The challenge was set to reduce the use of disposable plastics, this was the result!

Congratulations to Kingfisher Class!

We won GOLD in the swimming gala.

Well done Ella for winning 'girl of the match'.
